Do Not Panic and Stick with the Process and Fantasy Football Victories Will Come
It’s Week Three and people are already throwing their fantasy teams into the dumpster and I am here to tell you to R-E-L-A-X. There are a lot of great 0-2 teams out there and managers start to panic. This is where the cream rises and the great teams start earning wins. Teams that are 0-2 seem to give up on the process and chase the fantasy points. Stick with the plan, starts your studs, take calculated risks and victories will follow.
Starts of the Week
QB Daniel Jones
Watch out because Daniel Jones is on pace to crush last year’s touchdown total of 11. That’s right, he is at a one touchdown per game pace which would be 17! Talk about a glow-up, huh? All jokes aside, Daniel Jones has not been bad for fantasy this year. Matter of fact he is currently the QB5 of the year. Jones averages 61 rushing yards a game and that’s a high enough floor to me against this Atlanta Falcons defense. Per Pro Football Focus, Atlanta has the worst pass rush and the fifth-worst defense in the league. After this week look for Daniel Jones to enjoy one more week inside the top 10 of fantasy quarterbacks.
RB Ty’Son Williams
Because it’s too easy not to continue picking whatever running back plays Detroit. Let’s be honest! Aaron Jones just went completely nuts on Prime Time, running for 67 yards and a touchdown and adding six receptions for 48 yards and three receiving touchdowns. We all know Latavius Murray isn’t catching any balls – through two games with the Ravens, he has zero total targets. It’s going to be Williams, who has had six targets through two games and has been the head of this team’s committee. It’s not only the Lions horrible, no-good defense that makes Williams a great play. Did you know Ty’Son Williams is averaging 6.5 yards per carry? That’s the sixth-best in the entire NFL (#3 overall for RB’s). Crazy coming from a guy who was just on the practice squad two weeks ago. Williams should only continue his impressive RB2 campaign with a big game Sunday.
WR Sterling Shepard
Through two games, Sterling Shepard has 16 catches. That’s tied for #1 overall (with Amari Cooper and Cooper Kupp). In fact, he’s been the only real bright spot on the Giant’s offense. With Saquon Barkley still not 100% healthy, and DB’s focusing on Kenny Golladay (who might still be hurt himself), Shepard has had the chance to do his thing. Things should not change this week when he plays Atlanta at home. Hurts torched Atlanta in Week One for over 250 yards and three touchdowns. Then Brady came in and dropped 275 and five, count them, five touchdowns. This should be a good game for Daniel Jones who will connect with Shepard early and often, as per usual.
WR Rondale Moore
When I’m wrong I say I’m wrong and boy was I wrong about Rondale Moore and his fantasy production. I thought this tiny little guy wasn’t going to make it in the league and The Arizona Cardinals made a fool out of yours truly. Moore leads the league in YAC and averages 14.3 yards after the catch. Moore may not be the number one in Arizona, but he will be the guy getting underneath targets and turning them into huge chunk plays. Rondale Moore is the manufactured rushing attack, but through the air for this Arizona Cardinals offense. It’s going to be tough guarding Hopkins while watching Kyler Murray and trying to find Moore out there.
WR Hollywood Brown
Dating back to 2020 Marquise Brown has averaged 17.31 fantasy points per game in his last eight. I don’t know why or how, but I am here for this. In that eight-game stretch, Brown has averaged 7.1 targets per game. If you have followed his career he produces fantasy points when he is heavily targeted. Brown gets The Detroit Lions this week and if you know anything about football, you know it is a juicy matchup. Detroit has been torched by Deebo Samuel and Davante Adams this year so look for Hollywood to join the list of top wide receivers vs. The Lions.

WR Deebo Samuel
Green Bay Packers
What’s going on in San Francisco? Did Brandon Aiyuk and Deebo Samuel switch uniforms on us? No? You’re telling me that Deebo Samuel has been this good all along? I am here for any wide receiver getting a 40% target share in his offense. Samuel gets Green Bay this week and they have given up big plays to a Jameis Winston-led Saints team and a Jared Goff-led Lions team. Not the cream of the crop if you ask me. Look for Samuel to connect on some game-breaking plays on his way yet again to another top 10 performance.
