The playoffs are starting to take shape as we get closer and closer to the end of the season. As we enter the final week of byes, we still do not have a single team that has clinched a playoff berth. Who sits atop of the rankings heading into Week 14.
The bottom teams continue to shuffle but remain the same. The Baltimore Ravens finally drop out of the top 10 after their tough loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers on the final play. With the loss of cornerback Marlon Humphrey, it’s going to be tough for the Ravens to bounce back into the season. Luckily for them, the Cincinnati Bengals did lose this week, too. Let’s look into our Week 14 top 10 and bottom 5.
Rank | Last Week | ||
Jacksonville Jaguars | 2-10 | 32 | 31 |
Rookie quarterback Trevor Lawrence has one touchdown in his last 5 starts. James Robinson is being inexplicably benched during games. The Jaguars are an unmitigated disaster right now. The only thing that this recent 30 point drubbing (this time at the hands of the Los Angeles Rams) confirms is what we already knew. Another tough divisional matchup in Week 14. – Tim Rodriguez
Next Week: Tennessee Titans (8-4)
Rank | Last Week | ||
Houston Texans | 2-10 | 31 | 30 |
Woof. The team that beat the Tennessee Titans did not look as good against the Indianapolis Colts at home. It’s almost like the Texans just focused all of their attention on T.Y. Hilton, the franchise owner. However, Hilton only had two receptions all game. With a loss of 31-0, the only thing worse was the Jaguars. – Justin Bauerle
Next Week: Seattle Seahawks (4-8)

Detroit Lions | 1-10-1 | 30 | 32 |
Dan Campbell and the Lions did it. They got their first win of the season! They did just about everything they could to try and lose it, but ultimately Jared Goff, on the last play of the game, did what he had to do to win the game. I’d say it was more of a lack of defense by the Vikings on the final drive of the game that led to the victory, but nevertheless a hard-fought one for a team and a community that has been through so much. Dan Campbell gets his first win as a head coach, Jared Goff gets his first win without Sean McVay, and the Lions still aren’t mathematically eliminated from the playoffs. Detroit is a little happier this week, at least until Week 14. – Garrett Williams
Next Week: Denver Broncos (6-6)
Rank | Last Week | ||
New York Jets | 3-9 | 29 | 29 |
The Jets are in such a bad spot right now they can’t even beat a Philadelphia Eagles team that is led by Garner Minshew. Zach Wilson threw for over 200 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception. They are trying to get their young guys minutes but even they aren’t producing at high levels yet. Elijah Moore led the receiving core with six receptions for 77 yards and a touchdown. The Jets don’t have any plans for the postseason through Week 14 and can start rebuilding as soon as their season ends. – Jacob Mummert
Next Week: New Orleans Saints (5-7)
Rank | Last Week | ||
Chicago Bears | 4-8 | 28 | 28 |
Through 13 weeks, Matt Nagy still has a job. They looked not ready for the Arizona Cardinals in Chicago when weathering the elements. They were so bad that an indoor desert team beat them at home in December. This team is just not good and I don’t see it approving anytime soon. – Justin Bauerle
Next Week: Green Bay Packers (9-3)
